Steven's voice-over history is dotted with interesting character voices. Although a dinky-di Aussie born in Sydney, he has often been mistaken for an Englishman, which he attributes to his formal drama training at Sydney's famed National Institute of Dramatic Art.
Voice-overs include Black Edition Scratch-Its, Dreamworld, Queensland News, Gold Coast Bulletin, and many others. He has played Germans (Ludwig of Bavaria in La Boite's "Summer Wonderland", Colonel Von Strohm in ""Allo "Allo" at Twelfth Night). French accent is also a specialty when required, and Indian. He loves to impersonate characters such as Brando's Don Corleone in "The Godfather" and Alec Guinness's Obi Wan Kenobe in "Star Wars" and he has worked effectively with American accents on stage in various productions. Full-blown "ocker" Aussie accents are also a specialty.
Steven performed as Commandant Lassard at Warner Bros Movie World on the Gold Coast on and off for fifteen years. Mimicry is something he enjoys. Shakespearian roles he has performed include Falstaff, Leonato, Friar Laurence,Theseus, and Florizel. He also loves to entertain with his theatrical impersonation of the late Frank Thring, as well as Sir John Gielgud and Noel Coward.
