A recent graduate of a Bachelor of Fine Arts (Acting) program at the Victorian College of the Arts, Shanu is a passionate vocalist whose range of artistic training is reflected by her spoken voice’s musicality and flexibility. An experienced theatre performer, she continually develops and strengthens her vocal quality long after her training through outdoor performance, children’s theatre, and heightened long-form improvisation.

Shanu’s natural American accent subtly hints at her Midwestern upbringing and is softened by almost a decade spent in Australia. Her vocal versatility is ACCENTED by her ability to easefully slip into an Australian lilt; additionally, she grew up speaking English and Hindi at home (thanks Mum and Dad). She can confidently utilise a General Indian accent.

Her voice has been described as soothing, warm, and mature; she is excited to play with a variety of styles including advertising, narration, and character voices. A newcomer to voiceover, Shanu takes direction easily and is eager to deliver a client’s desired outcome.
