Bill has been using his voice to make a living for over 30 years, since starting out as a TV & radio sports journalist in 1987. He’s called AFL, Origin, Tennis, covered Olympics and Commonwealth Games and just about every major sport imaginable. In 2004 Bill became the ‘serious’ voice of nightly news for Network Ten and later Seven News.

These days he’s a roving program presenter for ABC Radio Queensland as well as a bunch of other MC and appearance work as the owner of his own consultancy, McDonald Media, also providing corporate media coaching.

Bill has managed to lend his voice to commercials for radio station sessions, Lotto, Hobbyrama, Suncorp Visa Card, Limbo Auctions, Tangalooma, NEDS, nightly news promos, an animated series, on hold phone messaging and much more.
